New Harrison County Math Benchmarks

The new math benchmarks are intended to be a fluid and malleable instrument that can be catered to the specific needs of the math teachers in Harrison County. After we adopt new textbooks this spring, we will need to update the curriculum maps, as well as the benchmarks. The goal is, by next year at this time, we will have benchmarks that assess what we are doing on our curriculum maps. Thank you all for your input. Feel free to post any comments or concerns on this blog, so we can all learn from your expertise.

Purpose of the new Math Blog

Welcome to the secondary math blog. I wanted to provide a place where the math community can post and discuss important topics that come up within our jobs. County-wide communication is going to become more important as we try to focus on common goals. Feel free to post the good things and bad things that happen within your classroom. Also, this would be a good place to post problems that you need an explanation of how to solve. If we learn to help each other , then the students of Harrison County will reap the benefits. Enjoy!
